  2. It is a shame but what does it have to do with the Zune?

  3. Apple better be scared!

    Look at Windows vs OS/X
Look at Windows Media Player vs iTunes
    Look at Windows Mobile

Oh who am I trying to kid. I’d rather fill my ears with plaster than trade my ipod in for any MS offering.

No chance, no way, no hope whatsoever, of MS producing a better music player!

If Sony can’t, what makes people thing MS can?

  4. Even at 52 I see no contest.
My ipod is so cool it makes me smile.
MS products are NEVER as good as Apple - and that applies across the board.

  5. The ipod is practically indigenous now. Not only does everyone already have them but they look great (even the old ones with the old styling still look fab), they’re easy to use, the sound quality is great and so many other manufacturers (even car manufacturers like BMW!)have made their own products compatible that I can’t see how Microsoft will seriously threaten ipod. If you have an ipod already, why would you buy something else that does exactly the same. If it doesn’t do exactly the same then they may have a run for their money - but I think there’s very little I would prefer my ipod to be able to do. I will watch this space with interest!

  6. I agree, I cant really see the Zune doing well against the iPod. The only thing I can see going wrong is if people don’t like the touch screen iPod that is expected later this year. The click wheel for me is the coolest part of the iPod so if they loose that it could go wrong.

  7. mmmm, there has yet to be a player to match the iPod. How ever that doesnt mean that the next generation isnt waiting round the corner with a balaclava on and a baseball bat just waiting for the right moment to pounce. Technology naturally moves on and unless iPod can keep coming up with different and original ideas to evolve the iPod, a new market leader will step forward. Lets ee shall we….
