Podcasts listened to more on PC than iPod
Research by Marketwatch has revealed that Podcasts are being listened to much more on computers than on iPods. “More people are listening to podcasts on their PCs than ever, says Dave Van Dyke of Bridge Ratings, a speaker scheduled to appear at this weekend’s Portable Media and Podcast Expo. A year ago his research company had found 20% of podcasts were being heard on iPods or other MP3 players. ‘That number has gotten worse (for players),’ Van Dyke said in an interview.”
That is such a stupid piece of research - all podcasts have to go to a computer first - the user then chooses whether to upload it to the iPod ect or not - what possible conclusions can be drawn from this? People prefer to listen to a podcast in one step rather than taking two? Or they are happier to use PC speakers rather than using earphones? DUMB DUMB DUMB DUMB
