More Euro problems for iTunes

Filed under: Other, General News — chris @ 5:08 pm

An EU Commissioner has hit out at Apple for bundling iTunes with its iPods as “Unfair” to customers.

Meglena Kuneva, the Eu comissioner for consumer protection pointed out that CDs will play in all CD players, but that a song purchased on iTunes will only play on an iPod, and that “something has to change.”

“I find it quite improper and I will do my best to change it.”

The comission were quick to note that the comments of Mr Kuneva were personal and don’t indicate a change in regulation.
Apple has come under fire in Europe earlier this year, with Norway claiming that itunes was illegal.
