Apple release iPod Hi Fi

Filed under: General News — James @ 7:36 pm

Well all the hype is over Apple have released an Amazing looking set of iPod Speakers. Steve Jobs took the stage to introduce the Speakers which are called the iPod hi fi. The design of this speaker system awesome and is what you would expect from Apple, this will be a hi fi replacement rather than a set of speakers for the kitchen.

Fill your home with sound, not stereo components. Keep your music collection at your fingertips, not in countless CD cases. Change the way you experience digital music. For $349, iPod Hi-Fi delivers crystal-clear, audiophile-quality sound in a clean, compact design. Hear, hear.

Where did the stereo go?

Just slide your iPod(1) into the built-in Universal Dock to turn on and tune in to digital music as you’ve never heard it before. From pumping bass to bright treble, iPod Hi-Fi delivers natural, room-filling sound. Close your eyes and you’d think you were listening to a huge stack of speakers. But iPod Hi-Fi measures just 17.0″ x 6.6″ x 6.9.”
Virtuoso performance

As versatile as it is compact, iPod Hi-Fi incorporates thoughtful touches that make playing your music pure pleasure. Use the included Apple Remote to control music playback from anywhere in the room. Charge your iPod through the iPod Hi-Fi dock while you play music. Or take your show on the road courtesy of D-cell battery(2) power. All that makes iPod Hi-Fi pretty extraordinary. Just like iPod.

The launch of the IceBox X-Clip Series provides an all-in-one solution for iPod nano users looking for a case for their iPod that can also be used with other accessories. The crystal clear, super thin hard case not only enables iPod users to protect their iPod whilst still showing off its iconic looks, but its X-Clip attachment feature also allows them to clip on and off special GEAR4 X-Clip accessories, which fully integrate with the case.

The thoughtfully designed case is currently available in two versions: the IceBox X-Clip, which is the basic model with belt clip attachment, and the Ice Box X-Clip Splitter, featuring both the belt clip attachment and interchangeable headphone splitter, meaning that friends can plug in their headphones too and share music. The X-Clip Series all come with a two-piece protective film for extra security and feature cut-outs, allowing easy access to all controls and ports.

Tom Dudderidge, managing director, Disruptive Technology Channels, commented: “Many iPod users choose not to use protective cases to avoid hiding their iPod nano’s great looks. The IceBox X-Clip Series allows those good looks to be clearly visible whilst offering an even greater degree of protection when compared to most other protective fascias; not only this, but as it is ultra thin, increased bulkiness is not an issue.”

Dudderidge continued, “We are also very proud of the X-Clip accessory concept, which is proven here by the very simple headphone splitter accessory. This is just the beginning, as we expect to deliver 10 or more X-Clip accessories during 2006, including remotes, sports armbands, battery backup packs and even speakers. Watch this space.”

easyipod.co.uk is now easyishop.co.uk

Filed under: General News — James @ 12:59 pm

Micro Heaven Ltd today announced that it has changed the domain name of its main site from www.easyipod.co.uk to www.easyishop.co.uk.

Below are details from Micro Heaven’s Managing Director James Nicholson. “There are a number of reasons for the change the first being the threat of Legal action by Apple against Micro Heaven using the term iPod in our URL. We totally understand that Apple need to protect their brand names and would not ever attempt to fight this in court. Secondly we are now seeing even more competition in the MP3 market and various companies who are bringing out strong products that may someday compete with Apple’s dominant player. We also feel the domain name www.easyishop.co.uk allows us to expand into various other mobility sectors as and when we feel the market dictates.

James said Micro Heaven have seen huge rises in the number of iPod sales in the last 18 months and the MP3 market is one of the fastest growing technology sectors at the moment. We feel that we need to offer our customers a range of MP3 accessories for players other than the Apple iPod. Our main focus for the new site will always be the iPod but we need to support customers of the various other MP3 players on the market. The first of our new products that we will be offering our customers is the Roku M1001 SoundBridge Wireless Network Music Player details of which can be seen at www.easyishop.co.uk.

Over the next few weeks and months we will be bringing on more and more accessories for rivals players to the Apple ipod.
