IPod owners will be able to legally download shows like Life on Mars and Doctor Who and watch them on the move, following a deal between Apple and the BBC. A range of BBC shows including The Mighty Boosh, Ashes to Ashes and Spooks will be available to download from iTunes for £1.89 each.
Ashley Highfield, BBC director of future media and technology, also revealed that owners of the latest iPod Touch and the iPhone would be able to access the iPlayer via wi-fi within weeks.

Apple have revealed at their Keynote Speech that there will be new software for the iPhone.
With the new software you will have Maps with location, Webclips, Customize home screen, and be able to SMS multiple people.
Amazon.com has began testing a digital-music download service to compete with Apple’s iTunes.
The service, called Amazon MP3, sells 2 million songs from more than 180,000 artists, Amazon.com said today in a statement. The songs, most priced from 89 cents to 99 cents, don’t have software that restricts how customers can play the music.
Amazon.com said the service would include songs from more than 20,000 record labels. The tracks will be available in the MP3 format without anti-copying programs known as digital rights management, or DRM, software.
Customers can play the songs on almost any device, including Apple’s iPod and iPhone, Zunes, Research in Motion Ltd.’s BlackBerry and transfer them to CDs.

Belkin have launched a new feature on their website called “My Best FM”, which locates the best FM radio frequencies to play your iPod or MP3 player through you car radio via you FM transmitter.
Just go to http://www.belkin.com/mybestfm/ and enter your Zip code (at the moment this is only available in the US), and “my best FM” will search a comprehensive database of FM radio frequencies and list the ones with the clearest transmission in your area.
This is a great idea, now we need one in the UK to help us find the best frequencies.
