easyipod.co.uk is now easyishop.co.uk
Micro Heaven Ltd today announced that it has changed the domain name of its main site from www.easyipod.co.uk to www.easyishop.co.uk.
Below are details from Micro Heaven’s Managing Director James Nicholson. “There are a number of reasons for the change the first being the threat of Legal action by Apple against Micro Heaven using the term iPod in our URL. We totally understand that Apple need to protect their brand names and would not ever attempt to fight this in court. Secondly we are now seeing even more competition in the MP3 market and various companies who are bringing out strong products that may someday compete with Apple’s dominant player. We also feel the domain name www.easyishop.co.uk allows us to expand into various other mobility sectors as and when we feel the market dictates.
James said Micro Heaven have seen huge rises in the number of iPod sales in the last 18 months and the MP3 market is one of the fastest growing technology sectors at the moment. We feel that we need to offer our customers a range of MP3 accessories for players other than the Apple iPod. Our main focus for the new site will always be the iPod but we need to support customers of the various other MP3 players on the market. The first of our new products that we will be offering our customers is the Roku M1001 SoundBridge Wireless Network Music Player details of which can be seen at www.easyishop.co.uk.
Over the next few weeks and months we will be bringing on more and more accessories for rivals players to the Apple ipod.
I dont mind Ipods and Apple, but “EasyIShop.co.uk” is pissing me off, they WONT stop spamming me.. Ive asked and gone to there site, to be taken off there MAILING SPAM SITE, and still they do, and they put me on more sites for there spamming.
Sadly its companys like this that need to be STOPPED, if i wanted to be a Ipod etc i would sooner buy from Currys or some other company who isnt in my FACE forcing me to see there AD’s and SPAMMING me.
