New 3G iPhone coming soon?

O2 and Apple will be making a joint announcement in the “coming weeks,” prompting speculation that the U.S. firm is set to announce a new third-generation model of its iPhone.

last month O2 cut the price of the basic iPhone by £100, which analysts belive was to clear shelf space ahead of what is expected to be the launch of a new model that will run on faster 3G networks.

Matthew Key, chief executive of Telefonica O2 Europe, told reporters on a conference call after his group’s results that Telefonica and Apple would make a joint statement over the coming weeks but he declined to say whether it would be about 3G iPhones.

Google releases new version of its reader interface

Google has released a new beta version of their Reader RSS client for iPhone.

The new beta version of Google Reader for the iPhone behaves much more like the list view on the desktop — clicking an individual item in the list loads it in place rather than taking you to a new screen.The new interface is also much better at providing feedback when things are loading and makes it easier to revisit read items.

Reports are emerging that Apples new iPhone will be available in black.

AT&T who provide the iPhone in the USA have listed a new “iPhone Black” on their database. The new Apple iPhone will reportedly be released in May supporting 3G capabilities.

New Chinese handwriting recognition in new iPhone firmware

Apple will include handwriting recognition for Chinese (Traditional and Simplified) into the latest iPhone Firmware 2.0 beta.

When you select Chinese input on the iPhone you are given the option to use handwriting recognition allowing you to draw characters on the screen with your finger. As you write the character, four possibilities appear on the right side of the screen.

Iphone Out Of Stock

With the recent price cut on iPhones a few weeks ago, many retailers in the UK have now sold out.

This is sparking rumours that a new 3G iPhone will soon be available. commenting on the sale of the iPhone an O2 spokesperson said “O2 said in a statement: “We have been delighted with the response to our iPhone price promotion which has surpassed our expectations. Due to this success we are currently out of stock of the 8GB iPhone on our online shop. We still have 8GB and 16GB iPhones in O2 stores although availability of the 8GB device is now limited.”"

New wireless feature for the iPhone?

A report claims that Apple may be introducing streaming technology to the iphone.

The new 2.0 iPhone software reportedly contains references to a utility that allows the iPhone or iPod touch to play media from nearby iTunes sources, and includes mentions of dialogue boxes to allow users to choose their source library or media type.

Apple japan Selling limited Edition iPod Touch cases

The Apple stores in Japan are for 1 week only selling limited edition iPod Touch cases and iPod Nano 3G cases.

The cases come with gold writing on the back which indicate the district where the iPod case was bought. They also include Japanese style etchings including fish and temples.

ITV to launch classic TV shows in iTunes

ITV has announced that a selection of its Classic TV shows will be available on iTunes to download on your iPod.

Shows such as Cold Feet, Brideshead Revisited, Inspector Morse, Lewis will be available while later in the year Classic programs will such as Captain Scarlet, The Prisoner and the Saint will be available.

Soon you will be able to watch Inspector Morse on your ipod Touch, iPod Classic and iPhone.

3G iPhone on the way!

Apple will be releasing the new 3G iPhone in a matter of weeks.

Reports suggest that the 3G iPhone will be available in Italy through Telecom Italia Mobile. The agreement is said to include a the retailer to sell the iPhone unlocked for a higher price.
